Mike Del Rio (born March 8, 1987) is an American pop rock and indie rock singer and songwriter from New York, NY.[1]
His self-produced independent 2007 album, "Blooming Under Pressure," has been critically acclaimed.
Currently, Del Rio is working with Adam Pallin (Tom Jones, Little Jackie, Elliot Yamin) in the creation of his full-length album.
In late 2007, Billboard Magazine hailed Del Rio as one of the Top Unsigned talents in the industry as part of the "Billboard Underground" Series.
Now accompanied by a full live band, Mike Del Rio is taking the NYC music scene by storm. With many performances under their belt, the band has performed sold-out shows at Highline Ballroom, Mercury Lounge, The Crazy Donkey, among others, with the likes of The Script, Monty Are I, Ryan Cabrera, Nine Days, Lights Resolve, as well as several other breakout acts.
His current tour starts in February at New York's Webster Hall.[2]
The band plans to tour in the summer of 2010 playing most major markets before doing a headline tour in early 2011 in support of the upcoming release.
